How much money are we talking?
The Colorado Department of Revenue reports that under TABOR, Colorado has returned more than $2 billion to taxpayers. When TABOR resulted in a refund back in 2005, there was a $41 million surplus and taxpayers ended up receiving about $15 a piece. So, taxpayers may end up with a small chunk of change because of legal marijuana and the state’s TABOR, but citizens probably will not be looking at anything too substantial.
Nice post!
