“TABOR public forum: Jefferson Unitarian Church’s Community Action Network group (JUC CAN) and the League of Women Voters of Jefferson County are co-hosting a TABOR public forum from 1-3 p.m. Oct. 12 at Jefferson Unitarian Church, 14350 W. 32nd Ave., in Golden. A panel will discuss both Proposition CC and Jeffco 1A. The event is free and open to the public. Yes, we all have to pay taxes to live in a civilized world. If you want to pay more, you have the right to write a check to the government.
But don’t force me to do so

Vote No on Proposition CC on Your November 5 Ballot

TABOR was passed by tax-paying voters in 1992 and became part of the Colorado Constitution.  Its’ purpose is simple in that before lawmakers can raise your taxes, you get to vote yes or no, although spending increase by the inflation rate + population growth.  Any extra revenue collected beyond that should be refunded to taxpayers.  

If Proposition CC passes, you lose the right to vote on tax increases and lose any refunds due you.  Not just for a year or two but permanently.

TABOR keeps government honest and forces it to prioritize the budget and spending.

Don’t lose your rights and refunds!

Repealing TABOR: ends the ban on new or increased real property transfer taxes, ends the ban on local income taxes and state real property taxes, ends the power of local governments to reduce or end business personal property taxes, and ends the limits on property assessment for tax valuation purposes
